Prof Anna Molka Ahmed, (1917–1994) was a famous Pakistani artist and pioneer of fine arts education in the country. She was a professor of fine arts at the University of the Punjab in Lahore. She has been decorated with Tamgha-i-Imtiaz.
Ahmed Parvez was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan in 1926. He was one of the most remarkable artists produced by Pakistan and he received widespread acclaim in Pakistan and abroad.
Ustad Haji Mohammad Sharif is a known master of miniature painting, a tradition strongly patronized by the Mughals. Born in 1889 in Patiala state, East Punjab, he inherited this art form from his forefathers who were also established miniaturists of their own times.
Ustad Allah Bux was born in Wazirabad in 1892. He worked as an apprentice to Ustad Abdullah at the tender age of five years. Ustad Abdullah was a Mughal miniature artist of Lahore. At the age of fourteen years, he was an accomplished signboard painter.
Talking of water colours and name of Abdul Rehman Chughtai would be the first one would come to forth and perhaps the only one. His paintings are so close to reality with natural colours that one is simply spell bound and lost into the beautiful colours and brush strokes. Abdur Rahman Chughtai was a painter and intellectual from Pakistan.
